A Weekend in the Country – exhibit at Ventfort Hall
What did wealthy women of the Gilded Age put in their traveling trunks? Guest Curator Betsy Sherman has installed an exhibit at Ventfort Hall to answer that question. Pulling from the collections of the Berkshire County Historical Society, Betsy tells the stories of dusters, tea gowns, shoes, corsets, and much more! Women would change their outfits many times a day for a stay at one of the “Berkshire Cottages.” So when you’re next in Lenox, stop by Ventfort Hall!
