The Berkshire County Historical Society’s newest book, “Weeds and Wildings, chiefly; With a Rose or Two” – Herman Melville’s final collection of poetry and short fiction – was principally written during the last years of his life.  A new edition of sixty-three pages of Melville at his most romantic, sentimental and autobiographic, this book lets him return in memory to his years at Arrowhead and to his childhood with his Dutch relations.
