DESCRIPTION:Tyringham resident John Hanson will give a walking tour of interesting gravestones in the Becket Center Cemetery. Hanson has been studying early New England gravestones and epitaphs for years and has published and lectured extensively. On this tour\, he will discuss the iconography of the stones\, share some noteworthy verses\, and discuss what they tell us about early New Englanders’ attitudes towards life and death.
