Summer Season:
Arrowhead is open by guided tours only beginning May 18 through October; tours are available Thursday through Monday with the first tour beginning at 10 am and the last tour at 3 pm. Arrowhead is open all Monday holidays during this time.

Parking and admission to the property are free, year round. Please park in the main lot behind the barn, and not along the road or driveways.
Adult Group Tours
Group tours are available for groups of 12 or more at the discounted rate of $15 per adult; one escort per 15 visitors is admitted free.
Mid-May through October group tours are most easily scheduled Tuesdays and Wednesdays when we are closed for regular tours. If you need to visit on a day other than Tuesday or Wednesday, the tour will be scheduled around regular tours and may occur earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon.
November through mid May tours are offered but may be impacted by inclement weather.
Visits to Arrowhead average between 60-90 minutes depending on the size of the group.
Due to room sizes in the house, your group may be split into two or more groups. Group Tour reservations are required; please contact us at least 30 days in advance of your visit; mail melville@berkshirehistory.org or call 413-442-1793. A deposit of 15% is required for confirmation. Payment of the balance is due upon arrival.
The grounds and nature trail are open year round during daylight hours for walking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Trails are open at your own risk. If you bring your dog, please clean up after them. Please be aware that this is both an historic site and a natural habit, and do your absolute best not to disturb anything. No motorized vehicles allowed off the driveway or parking lot. No metal detectors.
The offices of the Berkshire County Historical Society are usually open on weekdays, though we encourage you to call ahead. Offices are closed state and federal holidays. The Margaret H. Hall Library and Archives are are generally open year-round by appointment with the curator. For more information, contact the curator here.
The Berkshire County Historical Society strives to make Arrowhead as accessible as possible. In 2015, new pathways were installed. There now is level access from the parking area to the visitors center in the big red barn, and to the main house. The first floor of the house is accessible to wheelchairs, and photos of the second floor are available.
SPECIAL OFFERS AND DISCOUNTS
Berkshire County Historical Society at Arrowhead is pleased to be participating in the Card to Culture program by extending free admission to EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare health plan insurance cardholders. This provides free admission to the cardholder plus three others in the household. To participate, please present your card at time of admission. This is made possible by the Mass Cultural Council, through collaboration with Executive Office of Health and Human Services’ Department of Transitional Assistance, the Department of Public Health’s MassWIC, and the Massachusetts Health Connector. Additionally, the Museums for All program extends free admission with the presentation of a SNAP EBT card. Museums for All is an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), a federal agency based in Washington, DC. The initiative is administered by the Association of Children’s Museums through a cooperative agreement with IMLS.
Blue Star Museum Program – May 18, 2024, through October 31, 2024. Free admission to military families members showing their military or dependent identification card.

Purchase a full-price adult general admission ticket at any of the three museums to be eligible for a discount good for $3 off an adult ticket at the other two museums. Your admission receipt from the first museum serves as the discount coupon at the other participating museums.
Discount valid for 7 days from the date on the receipt and may not be combined with any other discount. Discount is available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
