Operations Manager 

Overview: The Operations Manager assists the Executive Director (ED) in routine operations of Arrowhead and creates schedules for Arrowhead staff and volunteers from week to week throughout the primary tour and programming season (May-October). 
Reports to: Executive Director
Direct Reports: Volunteer and paid tour guides and shop staff

Responsibilities-Site manager
-Responsible for routine light maintenance of the property, e.g. emptying trash containers, minor repairs, etc.
-Orders supplies and ensures they are delivered or picked up
-Communicates property observations to the ED; collections needs to the curator; communicate shop staffing and inventory needs to the Shop Manager, as needed

Responsibilities-Scheduler
-Contacts volunteers and staff before the start of the season, maintains list of current staff and volunteers and their preferences and availability
-Creates a Google doc or other type of schedule for each week of the Arrowhead season, sharing schedule with staff and making necessary changes
-Fills available slots with volunteers and then paid staff, taking at least 2 guide and/or shop slots themselves per week 
-Makes sure that shop staff and ED have access to a current staffing schedule at all times 
-Responsible for key set and alarm codes and for training new guides and staff in their use

This position is part-time and seasonal, starting May 1, 2023, and ending October 31, 2023. Some evening, weekend, or holiday hours will be required. 

Qualifications
-High school diploma required; college degree preferred
-Demonstrated administrative or program management skills applicable to establishing and maintaining an active touring and program schedule
-Computer skills or demonstrated ability/aptitude to be trained in this area, including MS Office applications and the Square payment system
-Demonstrated patience and skill in dealing with the general public
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as handbooks, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
-Ability to write routine correspondence
-Ability to work collaboratively with others
-Ability to communicate fluently in English
-Ability to move light loads (up to 20 pounds)

Hours: Not to exceed 20 hours/week.

Pay: $18/hour
