Sunday, July 13 – Friday, July 18, 4 – 6 pm daily
Great, great, great granddaughter of Herman Melville and playwright Elizabeth Doss will lead writers in week-long playwriting intensive that will culminate in a public reading of scenes at the end of the process. Doss will employ a variety of techniques to encourage participants to maximize the theatrical possibilities of each word they type. The workshop will incorporate devising, site-specific, and play-based strategies in addition to story craft, and playwriting nuts and bolts. Writers will create, play and support one another in a warm and generative process.
Cost for this workshop is $500; space is limited.
