Weeds and Wildings reading – Stockbridge

The Berkshire Historical Society’s newest book, Herman Melville’s Weeds and Wildings, chiefly; With a Rose or Two – his final collection of poetry and short fiction – principally written during the final years of his life, will be released on Monday, February 15, a Valentine’s gift for his wife and now for the general public. Sixty-three pages of Melville at his most romantic, sentimental and autobiographic, this book lets him return in memory to his years at Arrowhead and to his childhood with his Dutch relations.

Editor J. Peter Bergman will read from the book in celebration of its publication: Wednesday, February 17 at 7pm at the Stockbridge Coffee and Tea Shop bookstore
