Reading: “Weeds and Wildings” – Arrowhead

The Berkshire Historical Society’s newest book, Herman Melville’s Weeds and Wildings, chiefly; With a Rose or Two – his final collection of poetry and short fiction – principally written during the final years of his life, will be released on Monday, February 15, a Valentine’s gift for his wife and now for the general public. Sixty-three pages of Melville at his most romantic, sentimental and autobiographic, this book lets him return in memory to his years at Arrowhead and to his childhood with his Dutch relations.

Editor J. Peter Bergman will give read from the book in celebration of its publication: Saturday, February 21 at 2pm at Arrowhead, where it all began. Event is free; copies will be available for sale. The book retails for $15.99.
